World of Warplanes 2.0 drops you right into the action with a MASSIVE new update combining fierce 20th-century aerial battles with tactical teamwork, all for territorial control.

This match was notable in several ways. I think it taught me that being careful is not always a bad strategy. Certainly as a tier 9/8 game not to take a low health tier 7 cruiser for granted.

This time round, we've got a mix of some mid-tier action from World of Tanks, plus a very satisfying battleship game indeed from the recent season of ranked battles in World of Warships.
July 28, 2016
So far the one and only Polish ship in WoWS, the Błyskawica is a rather potent destroyer indeed - which is fitting, given its storied real-life career throughout WWII.,
July 26, 2016
Though in some regards an inferior machine to the T-34-85 it is essentially a copy of, the Type has one or two things going for it, including a rather better rate of fire.
July 25, 2016
After a PC hardware-induced absence, I'm back - and I'm kicking things off with a spot of live recorded action in the tier 6 Soviet cruiser, the Molotov.
July 11, 2016
One of the more famous ships to be added to the game, the Arizona play much like the New Mexico, although there are one or two key differences.
One of the faster low-tier machines, the Pz.III's firepower isn't particularly good; however, it's still considered to be one of the better tanks at tier 4, even so.

Recreating one of my most watched videos, a few months back I set out to see what would happen under the new physics when you get a lot of TOG II's together - and the answer is about as silly as you'd expect.

Jim features a Radley Walters win in his French 105 leFH18B2 tier 5 French arty as well as other miscellaneous ramblings.

Though the usual advice for Hipper players is to keep their distance, in this viewer submitted replay from Acepilot (his first match, no less) ignores all the rules and decides to get a bit more up close and personal.
Though neither were ever actually build, both the French tier 4 medium and light tanks share very distinctive looks, though in playstyle they are both very different machines indeed.
June 06, 2016
One of the predecessor designs leading to the Tiger II, the tier 7 VK4503 is the latest premium tank to make it into the game, and at first glance it's not bad at all.
June 04, 2016
In this roundup, we have a tank-destroyer edition, featuring three machines that aren't usually thought of as being particularly good for their tier - but of course, even more lacklustre tanks can have a good day from time to time.
Though of course I mostly focus on the PC version of World of Tanks, from time to time I get sent some gameplay from the console version - and thus it is with this very good Tiger game from MadFridayTV.

Always regarded as one of the better all-rounders out of the tier 10 heavy tanks, the T110E5 got perhaps a bit too good once it changed over to a HD model, and with matchups like this one you'd have to fail pretty hard to lose.
One of the more famous Royal Navy vessels to have served in World War II, the Warspite is now available to purchase in-game on a permanent basis - though it might not be to everyone's tastes.

Wargaming have put out these map guides every Monday for several weeks now. I thought it might be nice to be able to access them all easily from one page, so here you go.
The Cromwell is known for being one of the more fun mid-tier medium tanks in the game, and when it's top tier it can kick ass - and in the situation player justforlolzFYI finds himself in, he's going to have to, to win.
May 23, 2016
In this edition, we're starting off with an amusing match in the Object 704, a pair of games on the infamous "Campinovka" map, and finally some World of Warships action with the tier 6 Amercian destroyer, the Farragut.
May 22, 2016
The last of the US line's slow battleships, the Colorado has turned out to be something of an awkward ship to play - though it's perhaps not deserving of the reputation it once had.
May 20, 2016
Formerly the capital of the Duchy of Lorraine, the city of Nancy bears the motto "I'm not touched with impunity" - appropriate for this tank, as while it's easy to hurt, if played right it can repay it in spades.
May 19, 2016
The third premium Soviet cruiser to come to World of Warships, the Molotov is essentially an upgraded Kirov-class cruiser, representing the post-war 50's refit this ship underwent - and in in-game terms, it's really very good.
Having done a guide on how to get started in Stellaris, I thought it was about time I got round to talking about the state of the game as it's come out - and for a Paradox title, it's surprisingly disappointing in some ways.
May 14, 2016
Intended as a successor to the Iowa class battleships, the Montanas were never actually built - however, in World of Warships, such a thing is naturally no obstacle at all...
Paradox's first venture into the space 4x genre, Stellaris can initially seem daunting - and, to help out new players, I've compiled a handy guide for starting out for the first time.
May 11, 2016
Although, sadly, not all the excellent entries in my recent Wargaming-sponsored contest could be winners, there were enough impressive ones that I decided to give out a few prizes of my own.
May 08, 2016
In this edition, we have a double tier 6 feature, with the KV-2 doing KV-2 things in World of Tanks, followed up by a rather pleasing Warships game featuring the legendary HMS Warspite.
May 05, 2016
The latest US premium ship to arrive in-game, the Texas (sister of the USS New York) is in a lot of ways just like its sister ship - with one particularly important exception.
Though it was overshadowed for a long time by the "old" KV-1S, since that was moved to tier 5 the T-150 has perhaps been more appreciated for the fun tank that it's always been.
May 02, 2016
Culminating a fortnight's-worth of submissions, the winners of my channel's 5th Anniversary contest are in - and they are, unsurprisingly, pretty damn good.
May 01, 2016
Just as in World of Tanks, getting your first tier 10 vehicle represents a significant milestone - and in this case it's one of the most famous ships around, the mighty battleship Yamato.
April 17, 2016
Much like the Soviet destroyer tech-tree counterpart, the Anshan is a very capable little gunboat - but it helps that it can also manoeuvre pretty well, especially useful when you're being hunted by the most single-minded player in the world.
The very first premium carrier to be put on sale, the Saipan is an interesting ship that can be very powerful in experienced hands, but one that will also punish any mistakes you make very hard.
April 14, 2016
After an absence of several days, having been invited to Warsaw to take part in a special event at the WGL World of Tanks Finals, I'm back with some thoughts on the both the match, and WoWS as a potential e-sport.
April 05, 2016
World of Tanks' newest premium is both something new and familiar at the same time - the ever popular M41 Walker Bulldog, except upgunned as it was in German service; it is also the very first tier 8 light tank premium, too.
April 04, 2016
In this latest episode, we have a very tense pair of games indeed, with KingTrygon fighting against the odds in World of Tanks, and Jotti70 in World of Warships fighting for victory almost down to the last second.
At first glance, neither of these two machines has that much in common. However, one definite connection is that they're both pretty fast - fast enough, in fact, to take advantage of the new physics system in World of Tanks...
March 31, 2016
With the latest update of Armored Warfare comes the first iteration of the replays system, and while it's far from perfect yet, it's certainly a very good start.
March 30, 2016
Rounding off my look at the brand new Soviet cruisers, we come at last to the high tiers, and where life starts to get just a little bit different.
A well regarded ship, the Nagato is fast and packs a real punch - but, much like the Fuso and Kongo before it, if you rely on the armour too much, you're going to be punished hard.
March 28, 2016
Along with the announcement of my (somewhat belatedly released) mods collection, I decided it'd been too long since I chronicled my progress on that home away from home, the North American server for World of Tanks.
March 27, 2016
The slowest paced games can sometimes end up being the hardest ones, as was the case in this match - so slow paced, in fact, that a little reading material was in order...
March 25, 2016
Stepping up to the mid-tiers, the new Soviet cruisers start to take on some distinctive characteristics of their own - accurate, long-ranged guns, and a good top speed... but it comes at a price.
Famous for it's excellent gun depression - some of the best in World of Tanks - the Sturer Emil also has some rather less fun characteristics... but in a match such as this one, it ends up hardly mattering at all.
March 22, 2016
With the new Russian/Soviet cruiser line coming very soon, I'm taking a look at what the various ships are like - starting off with the low tier Imperial Navy ships Novik, Bogatyr, and Svetlana.
The second Commonwealth tank to make it into the game (alongside the Ram Mk.II), the AC 1 Sentinel was Australia's first indigenously designed tank - but, alas, Wargaming's implementation of it leaves much to be desired.
March 18, 2016
After the recent release of Master of Orion into Early Access, I've been keeping my eye out for similar games - and one long-running project that caught my eye is this one; Aurora, a space 4x that may not be pretty, but has a lot of depth.
March 16, 2016
Following on from the World of Warships team event last Saturday, I decided to showcase the toughest opponents we faced all evening - facing off against a team of supertesters, it ended up being a very close fight indeed.
March 15, 2016
After a week off thanks to illness, we're back with some World of Tanks - and, what better time to take a look at the brand new sounds of patch 9.14?
